The Wonderful World of Dissocia is a play written and directed by Anthony Neilson.
The play is about a young women called Lisa who suffers from a dissociative disorder . The play is made up of two very creative contrasting acts, the first act being her psychedelic delusion and the second act a harsh realistic representation of her reality in hospital on a psychiatric ward.
This play wants to impose ideas about how the condition affects sufferers and the lonely journey they have to endure.
 The idea was firstly work shopped with a group of students at LAMDA in 2002 but was  re-written and produced for the Glasgow's Tron Theater at the Edinburgh International Festival in 2004.The play won Anthony Neilson  2004-5 CATS award for Best New Play and the production secured Best Director award for Neilson. Dissocia toured England in 2007, making its London debut at the Royal Court Theater in March 2007.It also made it to the United States Chicago in 2009 and Sydney Australia that same year.
