Notes on Historical context 'Elizabethan'



Elizabethan Theatre 



The first theatre that was built was called 'The theatre' on south bank in London. Theatre was seen as quite controversial and had to be watched buy Lord Chamberlain first before it was allowed to be performed to the public.Elizabethan Theatre was all ruled buy men , they where the play writes , actors, directors and money makers.Women where not allowed to act until 1629, so mean played women's parts.
